Tahoe Mini Movie | July 10 on 10

For this month’s 10 on 10 I thought I’d make a mini movie.  It’s not exactly perfect but it captures our fun 4th of July weekend spent in Tahoe. I was inspired by the beautiful films that Xanthe Berkeley has been sharing on her Instagram feed.  If you are not familiar with her work, you should definitely check her out.  She makes beautiful films and offers several online classes.   I love how she creates weekend stories that document her family’s life.  I’ve taken several of her classes in the past and I love the idea of creating these little time capsules but for the past year I have been so bad at doing so.  Anyway, I’m going to try and make a better effort to make these films.  While I love having still photos, there is something so special about actually seeing our everyday moments in this dynamic way.

All the clips in this mini movie were captured with my iPhone and I put it together using the iMovie app.  It was so simple to do.  I encourage you to give it a try too! Once you’ve watched my film, please click on over to Luciane her photos are always gorgeous.

Our tree is officially up for our first Christmas in our new house. It has been so much fun decorating our new place for the holidays.

And a big thank you to my sweet friend for the “home sweet home” ornament. It’s the perfect touch for our first holiday here. 🏠💕

So… I turned a pool ring and a bin of old garlands into a Christmas wreath and honestly, I’m feeling pretty proud of myself right now. 😂 Who knew this pink pool float could transform into a holiday wreath?

You know I love photography, but give me a craft project and I get super excited. This little DIY was easy, budget-friendly, and now my barn is looking sooo festive!

Am I the only one NOT ready for Christmas decor yet? 🍂

I’m still enjoying fall colors, pumpkins, and gold candles. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Thanksgiving is next week!

I just want to enjoy this season a bit longer before the twinkle lights take over.

Tell me I’m not alone — are you already decorating for Christmas or savoring fall with me? 🤎
