While I’m not a videographer, I am a photographer who loves making short movies of my family’s adventures (thank you Xanthe Berkeley for your inspiration). In 2017, my goal was to catch a snippet of video each day throughout the year. It turned out to be a lofty goal and it just didn’t happen. I did, however, manage to grab quite a few different clips during the year and I put them all together in this 2017 Year in Review. I’m super excited that I captured pieces of our days even if it was a bit sporadic.
In looking back, it is both the big events (graduations, milestone birthdays, adventures near and far) as well as the small every day moments (hikes with friends, dog walks, baking) that made 2017 so special. I feel incredibly fortunate for my amazing friends and family. You all truly made 2017 a memorable and incredibly joyous year. Here’s to 2018.

P.S. If you are at all interested in making a film like this, I encourage you to give it a try. Most of the clips you see were captured on my iPhone and I pulled the movie together in iMovie. I’ve made many other short films throughout the year using my iPhone too and the iMovie app. You’ll see them when you visit my Vimeo page. If you are interested in learning more, I highly recommend Xanthe’s online courses. She is ahhhh-mazing! Or feel free to reach out to me and I’d be happy to help you in any way I can.
