A few weeks ago, I told you about my mission to find a compact camera. While I love my Canon DSLR, I wanted a more convenient, lightweight camera to take with me on trips and outings. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I ended up buying the Sony RX100 III and I’m so glad I did. It is an awesome camera!
My new baby joined me on my trip to Chicago to see some of my dear college friends. It was the perfect camera to tote around the city to capture our fun! While I still snapped a bunch of shots with my iPhone, I loved having the Sony RX100 III. It was especially great for capturing images in low light and crisp video.
Anyway, the lovely ladies pictured below are women whom I met at the University of Illinois my Freshman year when we all pledged the same sorority. When I joined Alpha Gamma Delta 29 years ago (gulp), I did so because I thought it would make a huge school feel that much smaller. Who knew that I would end up meeting the most amazing, ambitious, and talented women who would turn out to be my life long friends?
While I do not get to see these women as often as I would like, whenever I do it is as if no time has passed between us. We fall right into step with one another.
Our time together in Chicago was spent catching up on what’s been going on in our lives over the past year as well as reliving various antics from our college days. We laughed non-stop….so much so that tears ran down my cheek (and almost leg). 🙂 I seriously, LOVE these gals.
As our trip came to an end, we decided that we would make a greater effort to get together more often. Our goal is to meet up at least once each year and I truly hope we stick to that pledge….despite not doing the secret handshake or writing a song about it or adding it to our house bylaws. 🙂
