My Trip to Prague, Venice & Slovenia | September 7 on 7

Oh how I love summer and last month I had the most wonderful vacation with my daughter Chloe. She was in Prague for the summer doing an internship through her university (UC Davis) and I met her at the end of her program. I spent 3 nights in Prague touring the city during the day while she worked and at night she would show me around the city like a true local. At the end of the week after saying her goodbyes to her co-workers and roommates, we started our adventure together.

In the months leading up to this trip, we had been going back and forth on which cities to visit and after much research and deliberation we decided on Venice, Italy, Piran, Slovenia and Lujbljana, Slovenia. Venice was more than I even imagined. We arrived at night via water taxi and I was completely blown away. The city did not seem real. I have heard so much about this gorgeous place but it was hard to imaging the magnitude of it’s beauty.

Slovenia may not be a country that is on your radar, but it should be. It is very close to Venice, Italy which made it a great destination. It is a tiny country that has so much to offer. From beautiful coastal villages to a very happening capital city, to gorgeous Alps, Slovenia has it all. Mark my words, this is going to be the next “it” country to visit……move over Iceland and Croatia.

Choosing 7 photos to share was just too hard to do, so I hope you’ll bear with me and scroll through the photos I managed to narrow this post down to. And if you are wondering, once again I traveled with only my iPhone and Sony RX 100 III. My daughter did have my old Canon 7D with her for the summer so I did have access to a DSLR but the majority of my photos were captured with my iPhone and beloved point and shoot.

After you’ve looked through these photos (and added Slovenia to your bucket list), be sure to click through our blog circle starting with the always gorgeous photos from my dear friend Jen.

And here is a little collage of photos of my daughter and me. While we captured hundreds of photos of the beautiful sights and scenery, I wanted to make sure that when we looked back on this trip we had photos of us together.  And to be honest, many of these are my favorites.
