Hoop Wreath Christmas Craft–December 7 on 7

I can’t believe that this is my last 7 on 7 post for the year. This year has flown by!  I have loved being a part of this blog circle and seeing the beautiful images of my fellow photographer friends each month. This is one talented bunch of ladies and every month I am inspired.

So for this last post of 2019, I am sharing images from my Winter Workshop, a crafting party that I organize every year.  This started over 13 years ago and each year we make a different Christmas themed craft.  This year we made hoop wreaths.  They were so easy to do and very inexpensive.

Here is what we used:

  • A 14″ embroidery hoop from Michaels.  They were around $2.50 each.
  • Ribbon from Michaels.  They were $5 per spool.
  • Christmas greenery from Michaels.  I bought garland for 50% off and cut it into pieces rather than buy individual floral picks.
  • Assorted Christmas ball ornaments that we’ve had over the years.
  • Greenery that I found on my walk.  I also went to Home Depot and asked if I could take their Christmas tree scraps.
  • Wire and wire cutter.

To assemble all you need to do is layer your greenery and then wire together.  I recommend wiring everything together before you attach it to the hoop.

Ta Da! They turned out so pretty.  I just love them and think I will need to make more!

Change is hard… but it’s also really good.

After years in Silicon Valley, we made the move to wine country—and it already feels like exactly where we are meant to be. Slower mornings, more space, and a chance to breathe a little deeper.

One thing that pushed us to make the leap was the unexpected loss of a dear friend. Her passing was a heartbreaking reminder that life is short. We don’t always get “someday.”

So here’s your nudge from me: whatever’s on your heart, just do it. Don’t wait. Life is meant to be lived. 💕

Cheers to new chapters, more beauty, and saying yes. 🍷🍇🍷

I should be packing for our move…

But instead, I’m here having a blast at my latest branding shoot!

Swapping cardboard boxes for creativity feels like the right choice, don’t you think?

Packing can wait—this is way more fun.

I have big news to share……

We are moving at the end of the month! Eek! I’ve been quiet here on social media because the last month I have been busy with Goodwill runs, packing and planning! It is a lot of work to pack up a house you’ve lived in for nearly 21 years as a family of six! 😅

But we are trading the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley for country living in wine country. 🍷🍇

I’ll still be working with clients on branding photo shoots and social media management but it may look a little different.

My husband and I are super excited for this new chapter in our life. And our kids are enthusiastic too! I have a dear friend who has been with me along this journey and while I’m a little nervous about the move (but mostly excited), I keep hearing her words whispered in my ear….”if not now, then when?”

So here we go!!! 🍇🍷🍇🍷
