Claire’s Senior Portrait Session

Last month while visiting my family in the Midwest, I had the honor of taking senior portraits for my best friend’s daughter, Claire.  I’ve known Claire’s mom, Tina,  since we were Freshman in college.

Although we’ve lived in different states since graduating college, we’ve always been a part of one another’s lives.  We were bridesmaid’s in each others weddings, we were pregnant with our sons at the same time (they were born within two weeks of each other), we’ve met up for girl’s weekends away, we get together every time I’m in town (she always drives down to see me and my parents), and I was actually there the day she went into labor with Claire.  Needless to say, our friendship goes way back and is one that I absolutely treasure.  She is like a second sister to me.

So to have the opportunity to photograph Claire while in the Midwest this summer is something that makes me teary-eyed  just thinking about.   To say I was “thrilled” doesn’t even describe my excitement.  I love this family and the fact that I have had the opportunity to watch Claire grow up and become the beautiful young woman that she is today.  I know the future is bright for her and I look forward to continuing to watch her journey unfold.

Thank you Claire and Tina for a fabulous afternoon and for allowing me the privilege to capture these senior photos for you.

The South Bay just keeps pulling me back — and honestly, I’m not mad about it. I love any excuse to come down for headshot sessions, especially when it means catching up with my friend (and client!) Jamie from Design Compass - Interiors Consulting . Always such a fun day behind the camera and even better company! 💛📸 #brandingphotography #southbayphotographer #headshots #womeninbusiness ...

I can’t believe a week has already gone by since I attended the @womensnetworkingalliance Fall Business Summit. It was a wonderful day learning from and connecting with women business owners and friends. I enjoyed being one of event sponsors by providing my photography services. It’s always so much fun to capture the spirit of the day.

If you’re looking for a networking group filled with women who want to help your business succeed, I encourage you to check them out. They offer in person, hybrid and online chapters. Or feel free to send me a DM and I’d be happy to share my experience with you.

Shoutout to the amazing speakers @vantageshift_1 @kimwallacecoaching @abbyyoungstyling @gymparty_ . And a huge thanks to Carla and Tracey of @womensnetworkingalliance for bringing us all together! 🤗

When you’re the event photographer for the WNA Business Summit, the only way to get a photo of you with the group… is a good old-fashioned selfie 😄📸

I spent most of the day behind the camera capturing all the amazing moments, but couldn’t resist sneaking in at least one shot to remember being part of this incredible community of women! 💪✨
