I am thrilled to be kicking off another year of 10 on 10 photos. I love this project because it has inspired me to document one day each month with my camera and has connected me to a group of super talented photographers. Starting a new year for me, means setting intentions, picking my “one word” and getting organized (which is usually on my list of intentions). And one of the things that I have been wanting to do for months was redecorate my daughter’s room. Chloe is the only girl in our family (she has three brothers) and she spends a lot of time hanging out in her room. Her room was cute before but she had outgrown the butterflies and pink and purple bedding and was ready for a change.
Lucky for me, I have a friend, Rocio, who happens to be starting a design company, CasaCasa Design. So Rocio and her sister Olga took on the task of transforming Chloe’s room and as it turned out the big reveal was on January 1oth.
I love that these photos capture Chloe’s reaction to seeing her finished room for the first time. As you can see, she loves it and so do I.
