For this month’s 7 on 7 post, I thought I’d try and explain why I love family photography. The answer is really very simple….It is because I get to capture these fleeting moments in time for others. I love that I get the honor of providing a visual time capsule for my clients. I have the privilege of documenting the love a mother feels for her child, the bond between siblings and the personality of a family….and it means so much to me.
When I get home from a photo shoot, I’m always so excited to look through the images. I really can’t wait. And when I scroll through the photos, I find myself smiling and sometimes tearing up because I love the little interactions I was fortunate enough to capture (thank goodness for digital cameras).
I think I get so moved because I’m a mom and I know how fast time flies by. I miss the days of pushing my kids in swings, of having someone nuzzle in my lap, and of watching my children run in the grass hand in hand. And I guess I’m so grateful for this opportunity to relive and capture these moments for my clients like this lovely family below. This was my third time photographing them and I look forward to many more photo shoots to come.
