To the Beach | 7 on 7 February

I’m so excited to be a part of another blog circle this year. I’m joining a talented group of photographers where we will be posting 7 images on the 7th of each month. For this month, I’m sharing photos from my recent trip to Capitola. My parents are visiting from the Midwest for the month of February (they have been blessed with amazing weather so far) and are staying in a lovely cottage in this adorable beach town. Needless to say, I will be taking many beach photos over the next 28 days.

Every Sunday morning a group of local retirees gather to play their ukuleles, sing and hula hoop under the pavilion. Note to self: must learn how to play ukulele.

Have you ever used the long exposure effect on your iPhone?  Here’s my attempt at capturing a wave shot.

My latest obsession is playing with a lens ball.  Thankfully my daughter was a willing and patient participant.

Who can resist silhouette shots at sunset coupled with running or jumping?

My folks and kids.  Notice my dad standing on his tippy toes? Yep, he’s the shortest in the bunch.  🙂  Next up are the lovely photos from Janice.  Be sure to click and check out her images as well as the others in our blog circle.

Our tree is officially up for our first Christmas in our new house. It has been so much fun decorating our new place for the holidays.

And a big thank you to my sweet friend for the “home sweet home” ornament. It’s the perfect touch for our first holiday here. 🏠💕

So… I turned a pool ring and a bin of old garlands into a Christmas wreath and honestly, I’m feeling pretty proud of myself right now. 😂 Who knew this pink pool float could transform into a holiday wreath?

You know I love photography, but give me a craft project and I get super excited. This little DIY was easy, budget-friendly, and now my barn is looking sooo festive!

✨ Want the steps? I’m happy to share!

Am I the only one NOT ready for Christmas decor yet? 🍂

I’m still enjoying fall colors, pumpkins, and gold candles. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Thanksgiving is next week!

I just want to enjoy this season a bit longer before the twinkle lights take over.

Tell me I’m not alone — are you already decorating for Christmas or savoring fall with me? 🤎
