I’m excited to be joining my sister in an Airbnb adventure. We now have the most adorable Airbnb rental in Champaign-Urbana (if I do say so myself) :). It is located just 10 minutes from the University of Illinois campus (UIUC) on a quiet, tree-lined street.
I was back in Illinois last week doing interior photos of our home so that we could market it on the Airbnb website. For those of you who also have Airbnb rentals and are in need of images for your site here are a few pointers….
- Clear away the clutter. You want your home to look it’s best. Having your rooms look neat and tidy also help make your room look visually larger.
- Capture photos using natural light. Be sure to turn off any lights as it can give a yellow cast.
- Highlight any unique amenities or features. If you have a fireplace, porch or stacks of games be sure to photograph those elements. They help add to the character of your home and distinguish you from other listings.
- Shoot from multiple directions and heights. You want to give your prospective guest an idea of your home’s layout and floor plan.
