Hot Chocolate + Adorable Kids = Photo Magic | Silicon Valley Photographer

I adore this family and am always excited to capture photos for them.  The beautiful mom, Nicole,  was my daughter’s Kindergarten and first grade teacher (Chloe was lucky to have her for two years in a row).  It has been such a joy to watch Nicole’s family grow over the years and to have this connection with her beyond my daughter’s school years.

For this holiday session, I thought I’d bring some hot chocolate to add a little holiday cheer to their photos.  I knew it would be something the kids would love (and their parents).  Who can resist marshmallows and candy canes?  We had a great afternoon capturing these festive photos!

Our tree is officially up for our first Christmas in our new house. It has been so much fun decorating our new place for the holidays.

And a big thank you to my sweet friend for the “home sweet home” ornament. It’s the perfect touch for our first holiday here. 🏠💕

So… I turned a pool ring and a bin of old garlands into a Christmas wreath and honestly, I’m feeling pretty proud of myself right now. 😂 Who knew this pink pool float could transform into a holiday wreath?

You know I love photography, but give me a craft project and I get super excited. This little DIY was easy, budget-friendly, and now my barn is looking sooo festive!

Am I the only one NOT ready for Christmas decor yet? 🍂

I’m still enjoying fall colors, pumpkins, and gold candles. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Thanksgiving is next week!

I just want to enjoy this season a bit longer before the twinkle lights take over.

Tell me I’m not alone — are you already decorating for Christmas or savoring fall with me? 🤎
