This past weekend my husband and I went to Big Sur, California to celebrate his 50th birthday. We had a great time celebrating his milestone birthday in this gorgeous coastal area. We did a little “glamping” at a place called Treebones Resort. We stayed in a very roomy and stylish yurt with breathtaking ocean views. We hiked every day and explored this amazing area. Unfortunately a lot of the national parks were closed due to the recent fires but we were able to do some terrific, beautiful hikes at places like Limekiln State Park, McWay Falls, and Sand Dollar Beach. On our way home we stopped in Point Lobos State Reserve near Carmel and were mesmerized (and a bit terrified) by the HUGE waves. It was a fantastic weekend and I look forward to many more adventures and birthday celebrations with my wonderful hubby, Steve. 🙂 After you’ve had a chance to check out my photos, please pop over to my friend Trini’s blog. She lives in Norway and always shares gorgeous photos.
