Move over confetti, there`s a new prop in town.

Seriously, have you ever tried to get those tiny pieces of paper out of your hair? Or off your floor? It can be a pain. So, when my client came to her branding sessions with balloons, I was so excited. The balloons were the perfect celebration photo prop - colorful, fun, and oh-so photogenic. Plus, when the shoot is over, no need for a cleanup squad. Just pop and say goodbye! I think while I have always loved confetti, I am now team balloons. How about you?

The galleries are out… and now I wait. ⏳📸

One of the hardest (and most exciting!) parts of being a branding photographer is sending out preview galleries and waiting for the response. Will they love them? Will they have a favorite right away? Will they message me with all the heart emojis?! 💖🙏

I love each session—guiding, posing, capturing the energy of your brand—so when I hit “send,” it’s like holding my breath. But the best part? Seeing your reactions, hearing how you are happy with your images, and knowing they’ll help you market your business.

I’ve been looking so long at these pictures of you, editing every detail….🎵 This is my version of the lyrics to The Cure’s song Pictures of You going through my head as I edit photos. (shout out to my GenX friends).😂

Let’s talk about what happens after a photo shoot…

I’m always so excited to come home and see all the photos we‘ve created after a branding photo shoot. I upload the images to my computer and watch as the images unfold….its like opening a present. 🎁

But then…editing. 🫠 Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing the final images come to life, but the editing process? Let’s just say it’s not my fave. Sitting at the computer for hours is not quite as fun as connecting with amazing clients and capturing their stories in real time.

Still, its part of the process and I know how much these polished, professional photos mean to your business. That’s what keeps me going (plus, coffee doesn’t hurt ☕).
