10 on 10-September

For this month’s 10 on 10 I had a hard time figuring out what to shoot.  I always feel like I need to have a theme and as much as I try and plan one in advance, it seems to always turn out that my “theme” presents itself on that day.  Sometimes, not until late in the day as it was for this month.

It makes me sad to see that our lazy days of summer are behind us and that we are right back into our routine of homework and running around to various after school activities.  So that is what I decided to capture today.  My kids cracking their books and my daughter getting ready to go to dance class.   School is back in session!  After you’ve checked out my photos below, be sure to click on over to see what my friend Michelle’s day was like.

Note:  To my photographer friends, I had the opportunity to try out the new Replichrome Lightroom presets from Totally Rad. I love the look of film that these presets offer.  The presets I used in the photos above (in order) are Kodak Ektar 100, Kodak Porta 160, Kodak Ektra 100, and Kodak Porta 400.  Replichrome includes 134 presets and allows you to bring that look of film to your digital photography.  I really love the ability to make even these everyday photos look a little more artistic.  The one thing I noticed that I had to tweak was the grain and in some images it was much more apparent than others.  But toning that down was a snap.  I’m going to have a full review on my Moms Who Click blog but thought I’d include this info here in case you were curious as to how I edited these photos. 🙂

Our tree is officially up for our first Christmas in our new house. It has been so much fun decorating our new place for the holidays.

And a big thank you to my sweet friend for the “home sweet home” ornament. It’s the perfect touch for our first holiday here. 🏠💕

So… I turned a pool ring and a bin of old garlands into a Christmas wreath and honestly, I’m feeling pretty proud of myself right now. 😂 Who knew this pink pool float could transform into a holiday wreath?

You know I love photography, but give me a craft project and I get super excited. This little DIY was easy, budget-friendly, and now my barn is looking sooo festive!

Am I the only one NOT ready for Christmas decor yet? 🍂

I’m still enjoying fall colors, pumpkins, and gold candles. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Thanksgiving is next week!

I just want to enjoy this season a bit longer before the twinkle lights take over.

Tell me I’m not alone — are you already decorating for Christmas or savoring fall with me? 🤎
