This month I decided to do my 10 on 10 on the 11th. Why? Because it was my oldest son, Sam’s 17th birthday (how can that be??) and I thought it would be fun to capture pieces of his special day. If you have a teenager, you know how elusive they can be to photograph. 🙂
The day started off with him sleeping in….no surprise there!
Here’s Sam opening up his birthday card, complete with potty humor and well wishes from his siblings….. Note: Sam will go to college, he is working on getting his drivers license (finally!) and I guess to some, 17 seems old.
The afternoon involved some chillaxin and video games…..
For dinner Sam wanted to roast hot dogs and sausages over our fire pit. Alex thought in addition to roasting hot dogs, that he’d torch his math and Spanish papers (hence the backpack by the fire pit and all the ashes)…..yep, school is out for summer!
So there you go….Sam’s 17th birthday in a nutshell. To continue the 10 on 10 fun, pop on over to catch a glimpse of Kathleen’s day.
Oh and in case you are interested, I edited these photos using Get Totally Rad’s new Replichrome II Presets. I love how easy these presets are to use and how they can give your digital images that film look.
